For Sale: 3 lb. Brain

Courtesy of Deviant Art

For Sale: This week's prompt at Red Writing Hood is to write a humorous ad, a la Craigslist or eBay, where you're selling things after a breakup.

For Sale: 3 lb. brain

I am parting with a 3 lb. useless brain. I bought the brain used from a previous owner who parted with it without giving explanation as to why but wished me better luck with it. After two years, I've come to the conclusion that this brain is underdeveloped and considering its life stage, I believe it suffers from some sort of mutation. It is obviously still in its infantile stage and seems to short-circuit during times of stress which might include any or all of the following: decision-making, commitment, comprehension, and responsibility. I believe brain to be completely dysfunctional for society and so this sale is open to researchers only who might find use of it for future studies.

Yes. I have this brain. I got it around 2006, right around the time I had my first son. Strange coincidence, that.

I loved "completely dysfunctional for society"!

Researchers NEED that brain so they can figure out a vitamin or pill or something to fix it :)

Oh hey! There's one of those brains in my house. (And it's not mine.)

VERY funny - good idea offering it to researchers because I can't imagine a woman who would willingly buy it while knowing the particulars! ;-)
