Broken

I’m broken, girl. I deserve it. Words can’t ever mend what I’ve done. But I’m sorry is all I have. I miss you. I need you. Please forgive me. Forgive this undeserving heart....

For this week's Trifextra challenge, you have to write a letter of apology in exactly 33 words. Addresses, salutations, closings, etc. (should you wish to include them) do not count in the 33 words.

This makes me sad for her. I wonder if she really does deserve it or if she's one to absorb the guilt of everyone around her.

It's interesting how this 33 is being read. I wrote this with a man's voice. Thanks for commenting.

I'm wondering what he did to her to ask for such forgiveness. Well done!

"For the hurt I've cost, the Trust I've lost, I apologize. Unworthy of you, yet love you so deeply, I ache having hurt you.
I AM what 'seems to be the hardest word.'"

Nice exercise.

One Love.

If you had not mentioned that you wrote this from a mans voice I would never have guessed that. It sounds and feels like a woman to me. Odd how that happens.

@November Rain: actually the inspiration for this 33 is a show i watch of a US Marshall who's been left by his wife for the second time. He's a sexy, complex man that is hard to control and his voice and the sensual way he speaks, coupled with his Southern ways, just makes him irresistible. I pictured this apology from him asking her one more time for forgiveness...

I totally read it as a man, for the record.

I like the possibilities here. That she could either be guilty or just completely lacking in self worth.
