I had to take him.
The one whose vitriolic rant warned,
“one exclamation point is one too many!”
I opined his speech oozed exclamation points.
So he gave me an F
Fuck

This weekend’s challenge at Trifecta is to write a story or snippet of a story which includes, in exactly 33 words, a justified exclamation point. Make the readers believe that the exclamation point simply needs to be in the story.

Fun story. I just wrote a post with a few exclamation points in it. After reading your post, I thought, "Shit!" and, after refreshing myself as to when exclamations should be used, I removed all of them.
This entire challenged has caused me to re-examine the same thing, Stan. Interesting how punctuation can jump out at you. It's like saying, "Fuck." Startling, for a second, but then it becomes part of the vernacular. ! (wink) Amy Barlow Liberatore, and here's mine:

They hate it when you use their arguments against them. Nicely done.
The one use of the ! being in the "bad sample" of a priggish teacher and the unexclamatory Fuck are the brilliant!
LOL! An accurate portrait of a self-righteous narcissistic teacher. Usually they only succeed in teaching you self-confidence or destroying it.
Ha, this is good. I love that you only used one exclamation in this post. It must have been tempting to add another right at the end, but you rightly decided that 'Fuck' should stand proudly on its own. Great response. Hope to see you for the weekday challenge as well.
Ha ha, I love it. Reminds me a grade school teacher who always made as giggle with, "Ain't ain't a word and you ain't supposed to use it!"
Ha! Loved this. Sometimes it's worth the F.
Touchy, eh prof? Well, now you've had your revenge. Poor student. (Also excellent use of my favorite word. I drop F bombs wherever I can.)
great exclamation!! nice blog!! I think I will stay awhile!!
Haven't we all had a teacher like this? Mine was in German. Great imagery. Evelyn
